We all bemoan those wires

One thing that annoys me the most is jumping around my portable music player (SanDisk’s Sansa) and figuring what to do with the dangling wires. I tend to wrap them around Sansa itself, but that usually means I end up replacing earpieces every three months (the wires just snap so easily). And when the cables end up in a tangled bunch, it only adds some more decibels to my already high-pitched sound. So, what to do? Recently, I came across a couple of cable organizers. I saw ‘Tunewear Tetran‘ at Singapore airport that allows you to wrap the cord around this creature’s spiky body, and stuff the earbuds into its mouth. It even doubles as a stress ball, which is a good thing for me. It comes different colours and costs approx Rs 650.

If you prefer something more subtle, check out the earPod, which you can order online for approx Rs 500. This one allows you to wind the cord around the disc, then stuff the buds into the centre. Done! You can also use the earPod to shorten the cord while listening, by looping it a couple of times around the teeth. I bought the Tunewear since I am a sucker for cuties.

Apparently, this year has seen a considerable surge in the number of consumer electronics products aimed at women. While many of these marketing efforts seem to be along the lines of “It’s for women because it looks nice and sexy.” So, does that mean that men can’t accessorize? Anyway, I also happened to have a look at the ProfitWing’s BluePearls Bluetooth headsets that come along with a tag line of “designed for the active woman who depends on technology and complete mobility.” The headsets weigh 7.9 grams and feature a talk time of 18 hours, come with interchangeable face plates in pearl silver, textured black, denim, pink, zebra, cheetah, orange, green swirl and camouflage. But women only, please!

Yes, though you will have to order online…. And I am using one so I can really take the liberty to add that it’s one cute thing to carry around.
