Hi,

This no only the case with Maharashtra but also with other states. We all should protest against this unjust practices of Govt. But, who has time for that? And Govt. knows that very well and so we have to pay heavy taxes and prices.......... or quit earning and go after country problems.............

A fixed Rs/ltr sales tax should be charged rather than a %age. This will ensure that while govt is able to collect taxes as per budget plans; there is no additional tax burden on the cosnumer whenever there is a basic price increase.

i really what u wrote about the pretroleum gas.. as for us micronesians, we are also having the same problem with petro. gas price as well. i believe it is because the government itself hasn't set a price ceiling that prevents us consumers from being charged too much of the limitid resources.. the supplier must look at it in the way we the consumers see it. the governmet must intervene by setting the price ceiling for our own benefits and the suppliers as well..
